Becoming a Local Agency DBE can feel overwhelming. I have taken the level 4 training, but now what do I do? How do I apply the knowledge I have and expand it to truly recognize lactation problems?
This program will help you to develop your position as the DBE. We also bring you to the deeper dive into those lactation problems you may not have previously encountered. Assist you to feel more confident with lactation problems, how and when to refer, and how to become a member of the health care team. Also help you to build a network of people to help you not feel isolated or unsure of where to turn.
The topics covered delve into lactation research. necessary to understand in the position of a DBE and eventually as an IBCLC. We will use videos and photographs to assist you to recognize lactation concerns. Information presented will be based on evidence based practice and by instructors who have combined WIC and IBCLC level lactation experience.
Pre-requisite: USDA Training All Levels Complete
